This is a free service from Companies House where you can search for any incorporated company and get the registered address, date of incorporation, company number and the nature of the business and the dates the last accounts were filed. Other information and documents can be purchased via credit card and downloaded (eg a copy of your customer's last accounts).
This is the site of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (also known as R3). It contains some useful information on Insolvency Law and Procedure including their guide to business survival.

One of the better directory web sites for tracking down addresses and telephone numbers for customers who move address without telling their creditors! Some services do require a subscription but worth it.

A must for anyone operating in credit control and dealing with sole traders or partners or taking personal guarantees from directors for new start up companies. Web site requires subscription but enables you to verify whether the customer/director is a home owner and how many charges on the property. Records also show for post April 2002 purchases the price stated as paid for the property.
