The House of Lords has recently ruled that the normal six year limitation rule does not apply to the enforcement of a Court Judgment (Lowsley v Forbes 1998 3 WLR 501).
The limitation legislation does, however, restrict the recoverability of interest payable on a Judgment debt to six years from the date that Judgment became enforceable.
It may be worth turning out those old Judgments for review! Six years is a long time and many debtors may by now be in a better financial position to pay your debt.
